Why are push ups so difficult??

  3. I halved the rounds to keep moving.. 5rds+25 so that'd be 2 full rds plus 72? I agree the push-ups were the worst; in awe of the Games class going into this after 50 hspu ha.

Loved getting to see Hen today :) I am always inspired seeing Masters Crossfitters - they're amazing.

  4. I also halved the rounds - got through 5 plus 17 squats, so I guess that's 2 full + 64.

Felt pretty beat up through the whole thing, especially the Burpee Beat It, but I survived. I didnt think it was too bad considering it was my first day out of bed in two days. Felt good to move.

  7. Thank you to everyone who made it out to the Open house/ Hope for Kenya workout. We raised just over $700 in 1 workout. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful group of individuals at Apex. Continue to spread the word as we will collect more donations over the next couple weeks.

  11. Just did this wod at home with a slight modification because I only have a pull up bar that attaches to a doorway so I can't kip due to room and the door trim would probably come down.

I did 12 min. AMRAP of:
    50 air squats
    30 push ups
    15 sit ups
    5 strict pull ups

    3 rounds plus 20.

  13. Games Class:
My warm-up: 1000 m row: 3:52. Snatch: 90# - Terrible form. I'm having trouble pulling myself under the bar, and I tend to arc my back to get the weight up.

    3. 6 Rounds + 200 m + 10 BJ (regular pull-ups)

    4. Substituted strict presses with dumbbells instead of HSPUs. Did first 35 with 25# dbs, then switched to 20# for the last 15. Again, struggled with not arcing my back when it got heavy. Then, I did the DL's and FS's with 65# weight, which was way too light - considering I was cleaning 7 reps per round for 7 rounds the other day using 80#. 6:15 on the second modified WOD.

Then this evening, on my own, I did the "Hope for Kenya" WOD - except I did burpees instead of pull-ups. 3 Rounds + 80.
