For those of you who know, Kevin has been having many issues with his herniation surgery he had about 6 weeks ago. He was having terrible pain and it turns out his back infection came back. Here is an update from Melissa:
He is out of surgery. They said he did well. When they went in, they discovered that his one disc was pretty much completely dissolved from infection. So, they removed that disc and replaced it with bone from his hips. His spine also had a significant amount of infection in it as well so they cleaned it out along with the nerves and replaced the infected bone with clean bone from his hips. Amazing....
His recovery is going to be long but he was very positive yesterday and I am hoping that just continues. As soon as he is able, I will bring him to Apex to visit everyone and place him in the most positive environment I know... :)

We would love to reach out and show our support as Melissa and her Mom have alot on their plates caring for Kevin when he comes home. Please help us put dinner on their plates so they can focus on taking care of Kevin. If you are able to make a meal please comment below and we will start a "meals on wheels" for them. Thank you for lending a helping hand and I know we all can't wait to see Kevin back at Apex!
