Agree with Tony, the runs in the heavy rain were great!

During warm-up progressed to a few tabata rounds of 2 Ab Mat HSPU's.

This was a great idea!! Loved it! Well not at first. I saw we were doing Badger again and I was CRAP!! lol But once I set my mind straight and got to it, it was highly motivating!! My improvements from last week were taking over two minutes off of my time and I didn't have to scale the reps in the last round. I stuck with the same weight. So my only scales were the weight and JPU. And I felt really strong on the last run! Sprinted to the end of it. Maybe it was the fact that were running in a massive downpour this morning!

2:44 PR from last week!

Finally off of the cleanse (finished a few days early but who's counting?) and focusing on the CrossFitters Eat to Perform method called "Metabolic Flexibility".

So much better than last week! It's amazing how mental all this is....last week I just felt like a negative Nancy doing this WOD. Don't get me wrong it was still tough today, but I didn't mind it! Loved the rain!!

Chris what did you think of the cleanse?

Chris G said...

Kevin, it was a nice "reset" for me since I had fallen off of my usual diet near the end of the school year. I already eat fairly clean so the hardest part was dealing with the first 10 days of only fruit & veggies. I don't think its something I would do often, maybe once a year...

Missed last week, so my first attempt.

3 rds - 30/10/800

Scaled down the number of pullups since I can still only string a few together at a time.

First day back from vacation..... Never fun...
Felt like I was dragging a rock on this one for some reason. Need a badger deja vu #3 (#2 for me) to redeem.

I was 2 minutes faster, not 4

Badger #2 = 3 minutes faster than last week, which lead me to an extra round = 32:15

21 lbs
20/20/400
20/20/800
20/20/400
20/20/400 = need to work on my endurance. I start too strong and fall off quickly.

2:36 slow than last week. Last round really killed me. Pullups slower overall this time.
