It's GAME WEEK...Let's get ready
to RUMBLE?
20 comments:
Warmup: got up to 100# snatch. WOD started with 50# ended with 185#. PR on the back squat. It must be the new weights.
5 days!!
Started with 40# & ended with 140# which was definitely a PR for me. This WOD was a nice change of pace for me.
I would be happy to bring grill and cook
I started with 15# and ended with 215#
Looking forward to Saturday, excited to see what the WODs are as they are released.
75# to 235#
Bummed I won't be at the rumble. E-Rock you better crush it!
35# to 150#
25#-125#
Underestimated myself on the OHS. I could have gone heavier but already completed the 5th lift. 75# felt light and was a PR for me.
30# - 245#
35-40-45-50-55
60-70-80-95-105
115-120-125-135-145
I unfortunately played it too safe with the OHS because I didn't know what to expect with my front squats, but lesson learned as they were fine. Luckily still landed at good heavy sets for my back squats.
15# -> 135#
35-120#
Julia B., how the heck did you remember all of that? Terry M. and I worked out together. Surprised at how light things were so we decided to kick it up a notch! Started with a 45# squat snatch, PR!!
The workout..15#-115#!!! PR's. On every lift! Especially the BS @ 115#! For both Terry and me!
Woo hoo!
Last time I tried a back squat was on 10.1 and I couldn't get up from an 80# attempt. Just sat there with the weight until someone could help me...when you're lifting 5 lb dumbells at the gym, bails are not a skill you need to know..whoops
OHS-25-45-55-65-75
FS-35-55-75-85-(95)
BS-45-55-75-85-95
Disappointed that I couldn't get the 95# FS. Couldn't get up from the 105# BS. Thanks Zim and Clayton for the tips. I'm going too low, rolling to my toes, and dropping my chest. Once I get that sorted out I know I can go heavier because my legs felt fine.
Still pumped at the 15#+ BS PR. That's the heaviest I've gone with OHS and felt like I could have gone heavier.
Terrified for this weekend! That's a long list of strong girlies there!
95# -175# OHS, Missed a PR weight of 185
185#- 235# FS
235-255# PR missed 265
Great to work on strength training today!
WOD:
30# to 255#
Stoked about this one! Got to think about form and use the tips as Clayton was giving them to me. And some things to think about for next time. PR'd all three of these. 70# OHS, 150# FS, and 255# BS.
Hey, I'll bring the grill down this week for you guys to use if you like. Let me know.
yours truly,
Grill Master
Power Snatch - 100# during warm up! Need to work on Squat Snatch. I tend to lose my balance but have the power to keep the weight over head.
I love this WOD! A barbell the whole time was fabulous! We need more of these, please:) 30# - 200#
PR'd on every lift!
OHS - 90# 10# PR:)
FS - 165# 10# PR:)
BS - 200# 35# PR:) Felt like I could have got another 10-15# if I had more time and lifts.
OHS: 45-55-75-85-95 (Tied PR)
FS: 105-115-125-135-145 (Tied PR)
BS: 155-165-145-145-145 (165# is 10# less than my PR).
Post-WOD: 30 BS reps at 75#.
Liked this WOD. Need to do a lot more squatting! I can bench press more than I can squat - which just isn't right.
In the warm-up / snatch work, I worked up to 95# snatch - tied with my PR. Still need to work on technique with the snatch.
