That video is hard to watch. You dont think about it untill you see it happening, but I could clearly see spots where my mind quit, and were I should have pushed on, but wussed out. You cant really tell this is happening as clearly when your performing the workout cause your mind is out of it and it all happens so quick.....but the tape doesnt lie. It funny how important the mental part of crossfit is, cause sometimes its hard to convince your body to do certain things that it doesnt want to. However thats the real difference between good times and great times.
All in all, I wasnt horribly disappointed for my first Fran. I did manage to string the two 21's together, but then hit a HUGE WALL. This will be chalked up as a learning experience and I look forward to my next bout with Fran!
Very respectable first time Franny. Each time you meet her you will learn something new about yourself mentally and physically...and your time will improve, that's the fun part!
You should be proud of your effort. I agree with you, crossfit is mental training just as much as physical. You really have to be ready to push into more pain. The deeper you go into that suffering the less you want to work. It is a great battle that we wage between our own ears. That will provide a never ending source of motivation and frustration.
Again, great job. We have one on the map, let's see where you go.
