This was the second time I did settlement. I didnt record the old time and couldnt find it on the site since I must not have posted it. I remember it being double digits.....somewhere in the 11 min range I think. I also know that I used 250 lbs instead of the rx'd weight.
Today I managed the to go 9:54. The real kicker is that I was able to improve the time with an additional 65lbs as I did use the rx'd 315 lbs today.
Time improvements are great, but since I seem to struggle with the heavy weight wods, its a little nicer personally when I see an improvement there.
Nice work Keith and Scrappy! Rode my bike to the picket line this morning which didn't seem to be a smart idea. Had to ride home 20min in pouring down thunder, lightning and rain. Made it home safely in soaking wet Khaki shorts and a collared shirt. What a site! Rest day for myself. See some of you in the AM.
I did a little hunting in the archives...Scrappy your last "Settlement" I could find was on 6/27 with 250# and it and you posted 9:20. The day was posted as a "Rest Day" in the archives, but you have it in the comments. Awesome job today! I'm so happy to hear you used 315#! That's a huge jump in weight. Jodie and Molly, great work too! I love when I hear people pr AND up the weight :)
I went looking for my old time too and I did Settlement on 6/26 with 215# and was 10:34. Today I pr'd at 6:26 with 215#. I know my knees to elbows are the reason for the improved time. It must be all the gymnastics movements lately because I haven't been working on them nor have I done them in a while. And yet another reason why I love CrossFit...it's almost like cheating this stuff is so good. Your body can't help but get stronger...The Settlement proved that today with everyone!
