Felt sluggish today...but hey, its Mon. The wod still felt ok, man-makers have sucked more in the past then they did today. Managed 8:44 w/25#db. Did some weighted pullups afterwards. Got 80# rather easily, but kept stalling at 85. It was the first time I ever did a pullup with weight, so ill take it.
The Monday Blues are tough to shake! I was hurting this AM after my first fball game yesterday. 15 AMRAP- 7 Thrusters#95, 7 SDLHP#95, 7 KTE, 7 Burpees- 7 Rds
YAY! I am so excited about getting the muscle up...I've been working on it and practicing every day I walk in the garage whether it was jumping muscle ups or dips and ring pull ups. This weekend was my first couple days in a row I didn't practice since Feb 15th. So here's my lesson I learned...alot of practice + a little rest =BINGO!
I was so excited because I was actually able to do the wod Josh was doing (the one Scrappy did earlier) I only did 3 reps each round not 9-6-3, but that's ok for day 1! Just 3 of those suckers at a time was plenty tough!

Look at that beautiful demo for manmakers...
What is the recommended dumbbell weight for women?
I pretty sure 15 lbs would be rx for women. Thats what molly used this morning.
25lbs for men and 15lbs for females!
I don't know who that guys is, but he better pick up the pace!
Decided to double up the wods today and went to the night class too. I was feeling good and thought its good prep for the qualifier. did
200m run
9 muscle ups
18 wall balls
400m run
6 muscle ups
12 wall balls
800m run
3 muscle ups
6 wall balls
I think I was 10:48. Was fun cause I never have done MU in a wod.
Thanks Scrappy for setting the bar. I tried to hit 9 something however that final 800m run is a toughy. Love working muscle ups into a WOD.
Tanya Congrats on your 1st muscle up!
10:31
