Mike, Molly, Jodie and Anshum had some fun with this one. It looks like it would get the shoulders, but everyone was talking about the legs. Hmmmm.
Did 10-8-6-4-2 Thrusters (135) and 50-40-30-20-10 Double unders 6:09. Feeling a little beat up still. Glad I'm on a big recovery cycle. I'm freaking out I'm so excited for this weekend. I'm ready to die on that floor.
Im with you Mike about the freaking out. The past few days I just keep watching these qualifier videos over and over again and it keeps pumping me up. I get nervious, excited, tense.....im going to burst. Let me at the qualifier already!
This morning did hit the legs. Damn SDHP and BJ's. I think I might loosen up my kettle bell muscles tonight and hit some reps of heavy overhead squats as well.
Holy crap, I just watched the video's describing the standards for the Dirty South qualifier that is the same weekend as ours. The Standards are OUT OF CONTROL! holy moly!
no bouncing on deads...you have to show 8 fingers on the ground. For Jerks you cant drop the bar unless its below the waste....thats just a few. Talk about speed and momentum killers.
Yikes....I will have to take a look at that. Where the hell are our WOD's damit. Tanya and I just finished todays WOD. That was alot harder than it looked. 24" box jumps set me back. Scrappy thanks for the good time to shoot for.
Just over 1 day and you will know the WODs for the qualifier. Just breathe.... you can't change what they are. You won't be able to get any stronger by the weekend. Maybe you guys need to do a little yoga to chill out tomorrow.
Hang in there guys....it will be here before you know it! Save that energy and adrenaline for the weekend! Like a wise man once said to me..."you can only do what you can do, competing won't bring out anything that's not already there"
You fellas have alot there already! Can't wait for the weekend...try to get some good sleep this week :)
