No Sugar Update, I dropped down from Level 1 to Level 2 last night. I had a couple of sweet potato, wheat Gnocchi with a wee bit of marinara…..On a good note, the main dish was Chicken, carrots and peas.

mmm....gnocchi! The pasta that sticks to your ribs. :)

Super easy meal suggestion here. Tried it the other night and even the sugar-lovin husband liked it. Throw a container of fresh salsa, can of black beans (rinsed) and a couple chicken breasts in a crock pot and cook on low for 2-3 hours. Serve over quinoa or whole grain rice. Quinoa is super yummy. Yup, it's a carb but it's still lower on the glycemic index than a sweet potato and has the highest level of protein than any other grain.

For all you brave souls still in the Gold level, omit the starches and use avocado slices and/or cheese. This is a super easy go-to meal and gets us busy folk fed before 9.

Teresa you are GREAT! I love easy recipes! Keith that dinner sounds yummy. I kinda keep thinking about stromboli or pepperoni pizza, I think that'll be my first post challenge nibble...or first slip up!

Here's another easy one just did it the other night...shrimp and veggie stir fry. So easy shrimp cooks in seconds and the veggies were just frozen broccoli/cauli/carrot mix that I ran under hot water to thaw then threw in with the shrimp and some old bay and olive oil, and of course garlic and pepper. it was yummy

This was a rough one...girls you were right! The rower has been good to me lately...but not tonight, not tonight. It left me hanging over the old trash can about 3 seconds after the wod.

Congrats to all the brave souls who came out for this one. The ladies weren't scared and neither was Jarrett!

still sug/star free day 11 :)

Completed the 1-18-09 WOD this morning. Tough. Finished in 30:54 95#. Good WOD for a Friday before a rest day. No sugar going well, only 1 cheat so far (Bun on a burger and some chips) Feeling great. Have a good weekend!

Light week for me, had two family things this week, but still going strong on the no sugar challenge and taking fish oils. Hopefully see you all tomorrow morning if i don't have to work......

Shame on me for saying "I actually like rowing" before beginning last nights WOD. Uhmm.... Ok, I lied.

All this talk about fish oil consumption, I found a pretty insightful article. If you can hang with all the scientific mumbo jumbo, there's some good stuff in there.

Day 9 no sugar, feeling great and no longer having dreams about funyuns. Little quick fix you guys may enjoy: Can of tuna, chopped onion and celery, lil mayo and a lil salsa with a sprinkling of pepper. Takes about 2 mins to make and 2 mins to eat and keeps me full for a couple of hours. See you all tomorrow morning =)
