Friendly Reminders!
Please do not park in front any garage doors except for Apexes doors. Also, do not park in the last two spots on the corner.
Athletes are responsible for their own warmup!
I am hoping Friday Night Lights T's will be ready for the 1st heat tomorrow....fingers crossed!
I also have to do it Sunday! Hoping for a judge!!
My brother did 13.2 yesterday and told me that pacing is still important on this one - should go little harder maybe than 13.1 because it's only 10 minutes but make sure you have something left for the last couple of minutes to push. Wasn't happy to see that KStarr's primary concern for this WOD was low back so my strategy is to shamelessly step the box jumps and try to rest between movements with unbroken reps. Hoping to get more than 140 which is what my full-term sister-in-law got (used 40#)!
Bus what time will the box open on Sunday? I can help judge that day but I'd still like to try and get in some work beforehand..
What's everyone shooting for?
This is a Classic Crossfit WOD and def something that Apex would program!
You defianltey want to keep a good pace throughout the wod.
Zim and I took offs like bats out of H@ll Wednesday night....I will start at slower and finish stronger!
I'm thinking about staying consistant on the P.Jerk and DL, moving on the BJ's...let's be honest, the work has to be put in on the BJ's!
Julia- how did you brother do?
I'm looking to get as close to 300 as possible
*Doors will 11:30ish on Sunday
Hey guys, since I am so not techno savvy I was pretty excited I figured this out.
Go to the game site and create a custom leaderboard and chose CrossFit apex as the affiliate. Then book mark the page as a favorite and create a shortcut on your home screen. One click and there we all are. Just like the big dogs! How cool? Lol I am probably the last to figure this out...
Bekah, thanks for the information on the custom leaderboard, cool!
We logged five 13.2's in the books this morning. Great work!
I am at 8 rounds + 1 = 241
And Keith agreed, have to keep moving on the boxes. step out if you need to on the boxes, just to keep moving.
yes I'm keeping up with everyone on the custom leaderboard. good luck to everyone this weekend!
176 (5rds. +26)
258 (8rds + 18). My kinda workout. If I redo this on Sunday I will try and hold onto the bar going into the DL. I think I can get 9 rds
6rds+20=200
Stepping up/down proved to be faster for me. Lower back is smoked!!
180 - 6 rounds
290->9 rds +20
I'll see you all Redo-ers on Sunday
6 rds + 4
RX
Did not like this at all. After round 1 I felt sick and wanted to quit.
On a side note Nicole was a box jump Ninja! She was my "partner judge" and was moving! Great work:)
4 rounds plus 4. The push presses killed me. 115# is very close to my 1 RM (125#). My lower back is smoked - more from gritting out the push presses in the last couple rounds (probably with atrocious form) than from anything else.
I did my do and my re-do today. 241 at 9 am and 263 at 6 pm.
5rds + 22 = 172
