Alrighty Food People...hang in there. I will have for you shortly (hopefully the end of today) an update of POINTS OF RECLARIFICATION for the No Sugar challenge. Keep doing what you're doing, but I think we need to re-evaluate the purpose and point of the "no sugar challenge" I have been talking with some of you and I don't want you to feel like you can't eat anything. Yes, sugar is in almost EVERYTHING and I think we can all see that. That point has been made, so now lets redefine a few things and get those questions answered so we add more to your menu! Stay tuned.
Egg whites with ground turkey and salsa and 1/4 cup blueberries this morning. Not sure if its in my head because its only day 2 for me but I feel AMAZING! Added a 30 lb KB and FINALLY an olympic straight bar to my garage last night so I can keep up with the workouts better when I cant make it in. Im trying to convert my BF to get out of the gym and join me but he says he enjoys having knee caps and tendons =)
Exciting stuff going on at Apex right now! First time pull-ups, clean eating...love being witness to it all!
Sucky thing - I've been forced to take it easy this week after a rotator injury over the weekend. BOO! You take for granted how much you use that sucker! Looks like everyones been getting their shoulders smoked this week too!
I can't sit still so I'm keeping active with some low impact stuff and doing a nice trail run on Saturday out at Ridley State Park. And I've been stretching like nobodies business...
Teresa hang in there and take care of that shoulder. Rest is a good thing in order to gain new PR's and strengthen the body. Good for you stretching many of us don't stretch enough. I am definitely guilty of NOT stretching enough.
So the week is going good no sugar challenge doing great and I started on the fish oils 2 a day right now. Body is sore from 4 straight days of great workouts from the crossfit trainers thanks. The push you give us guys and gals is what keep us training harder and harder thanks again. Crossfit is GREAT!!!!!! Question how many fish oils do you think we should take a day and anything else?
Day 5 I can't believe I am stil Gold. Went out last nite for dinner....ice tea, unsweetened of course...gave away my starch. Starting to feel better...those first 3 days were hard.
Thanks for the nice words but you guys do the hard part by pushing yourselves that hard! Keep it up!
About the fish oil. For you 2.5g (2500mg) per day. Take a look at actually how many mg of omega 3 (epa/dha) are actually in your capsules. Then do the math to figure out how many capsules you need. They may say 1,000mg capsules but actually only contain 400mg of omega 3.

No better reason to zero in on the diet!
