WOD: 11 rds. + 4. 30"pike hspu. 30" box jumps. Tough WOD today. The combo of pull ups & dips in the warmup and the pike hspu & rope climbs smoked my shoulders and arms!

Tough WOD, especially after the dips and pull-ups in the Warm-up.
Lot of work can be done in a 25 minute AMRAP.

Scaling: Did 12# dbs strict press , 11in. "box" jumps, and 3 Lying Down Stand Ups or each rope climb.

9 flat. Box handstand push ups, knotted rope climbs. When the knotted rope was crowded, 3 lay down get up/whatever they're called. Discovered just how much hitting your shin on the edge of a box sucks - I lost about a minute to holding my shin and making sure I was alright. I'd like to thank josh for the extra motivation as I was trying to ascend the rope in a later round!
Warm up was killer. As I struggled to do dips and pull ups/kips, I thought to myself - this is why I do crossfit. To challenge myself. Great day for that!

For 3 rounds I did 1 kipping hspu with 2 ab mats and then 7 24" pike pu. The last three rounds I did the kipping hspu and 7 tripod pu because my arms were beat.

Thanks Josh for pushing me with the hspu. In the beginning, I was failing like 5x in a row but I'm pretty stubborn and by the end I was getting them first try. Dropped more f bombs than appropriate...sorry!
Can't believe I've been part of Apex for a month now...I've done some pretty cool stuff that I never thought I'd be accomplishing. Can't wait for more! :)

Started with tripod pushups but ended with strict push press.
