After Friday's wod, did anyone mistakenly pick up a jump rope that didn't belong to them? Thanks for checking!

Brutal!! Jumping right in the ocean!
I forgot to post my Spartan Race time from Sat:
1:49:03 [PR]
I was able to handle the Monkey Bars and the Sand Bag Carry was unbroken. Beat my previous best time by 45-50 mins.
Thanks to all Apex Trainers for getting my body and mind right for the race and a big thanks to all the speedy 6am'ers that allow me to chase you 4x a week.
I am in San Jose for business and will be back in the box on Thursday!

Devil's lair is an appropriate name, hot one so bring extra water & towel. Thanks Melissa and Chris for the extra push!
Coming in at 6am for a WOD after being in the Spartan Race Sunday was very tough. I had trouble keeping my motor going today. I just wanted to say that without crossfit Apex, I probably would have never attempted the Spartan Race. I felt very confident before the race and I was surprised how much energy I had left after. Crossfit Apex not only changed me physically for the better, but it had a huge impact mentally for me. During the sand bag carry up the monster hill, I wanted to put the sand bag down and rest about 50 times. The push we put ourselves through during the WOD, pushed me up that hill unbroken. Just wanted to thank all the trainers and fellow 6am-ers for the push.

I also did much better @ Spartan Race this time around. last years race was a mile longer, and a little bit tougher over all, but my time went from 3:30 to 1:50, and my group was unfortunate enough to go the wrong way at one point.
one thing that was a huge difference this time around was the sand back carry. I was actually glad it was in the same brutal spot as last year. I must have stopped anywhere from 5 to 10 times going up that hill last year. this year, I stopped at the very top, thats it. I kept thinking stop, but ignored it and pushed. thats definitely from Apex. I swear I was thinking about everyone in those moments. I could hear everyone yelling at me!

Rough one!
What a huge difference the proper training makes!! My time for this years PA Spartan Sprint was 2:03:14 compared to last years of 2:45:16!! It is hard to compare times like this because this years was a mile shorter than last years. But my time per mile shows how big the difference was! This year 24:38 per mile and last year was 33:03 per mile! This years time would have even been better but like Mooney said our group got misdirected and had an extra 1/4 mile mountain climb in the wrong direction.
I only had to burpee one obstacle that I wanted to complete this year. Felt strong on the monkey bars which they made more challenging this year. Overall the mental and physical strength Apex is building in us is HUGE!! Can't wait until September for our next challenge in the Super Spartan (which I am also doing a 5K that weekend as well). Thanks again APEX!!

Yay Spartans! It is really cool reading these accounts!!!
Very jealous of you Erica being able to jump into a body of water following this ha. Made it to 500m at the time cap. Lost too much time breaking on the ring rows and wasn't able to get my legs in gear goes bit off the rower.
It's awesome that so many of you did the Spartan!

I lost count on the ring rows. Was partitioning and may have only done 5 sets of ten.

Went over the time cap! Sorry! I must still be recovering from the Spartan Race! And that's my story! Completed the Ring Rows at 24:05....walked around and said screw the 600 m run! Then said, shit...get you ass moving and go do the run, so I did! So at 24:50 I went out for the 600m! Loved the Spartan Race! First time ever, 2:13:30! Preparing to do the Super Spartan in Jersey in September!

HR Push Ups and Ring Rows slowed me to a crawl...

This was a fun WOD. Rowing seemed to take forever along with the ring rows.
What a day! The second wod that I've hit the time cap on. Had about 200m left when the time was up - didn't know this and pushed myself hard on the run. Frustrating to get in after that effort and see "25:00" on the clock. Just room to see my improvement later I suppose! 25:00, 26# KB.
Bonus - got a bruise on my forehead from those push ups and resting my head on the mats. This workout will leave its mark on me in more ways than one!
Great job 5pm'ers AND Clayton, our fearless leader! It was great to be back at Apex!
Awesome work Apex Nation! Sounds like ya'll crushed the race and had a smile the entire time!
You make us trainers proud

24:21 - 18lb KB & table top ring rows. Glad to have finished under 25... Heat was a big factor for me today.

Couldn't keep up with Mia today. She passed me in the push-ups, and I couldn't close the gap on the ring rows or the row.
21:58 thanks to Jess's extra push on the runs! The heat was brutal.
Did 600m runs but 40 of everything else, 26#KB and table top ring rows.
