Warm up: we had some free time to work on our weak or problem area movements. For me it was the hand stand. After many words of encouragement from Julia and helpful tips from fellow 6am'ers, I finally managed to get one hand stand on my own! WOD: 15:01 80# jbmu. Not happy with my time. The bar muscle ups took more time than I expected.

Did this at home but did TTB instead of JBMU. It just isn't the same working out at home

9:14 (includes rest time) with 73# and jbmu
Splits: 1:00 / 1:02/ 1:06/ 1:03/ 1:03
I held onto the bar for all three movements. I probably should have gone a little heavier but would have had to broken up my sets for sure. I got a killer workout a high intensity with this wod. The minute rest was short but long enough to catch my breath and go unbroken on all rounds.
First time with this wod. Loved this one, maybe one of my fave's!

My motivation for everything I do CrossFit related, comes back to my philosophy that life is indiscriminately too short. I believe that when you find something in life that truly encapsulates personal fulfillment and happiness, you should invest in it every bit of time and energy you have. I want to live everyday following my passions; training to better myself at every moment I have, and working to teach and spread the lifestyles of health, fitness, and happiness.

Wish I could make it today for this workout!

Still bent from only making 38 reps on the 20# Wall Balls yesterday, I spent the warm-up working on my wall ball form with varying weights.

Nice job on the handstand Jon! Your commitment to making it happen was inspiring!

WOD-16:39 (includes 1 min rest between rounds) 100#, 2 MUs per round.

Lesson learned-Failed muscle ups hurt. Definitely gonna make sure I take enough rest between reps in the future, so as to not waste energy on failed attempts.

Hey anyone see Games WOD #1 scheduled for Wednesday morning?

Who was the genius who predicted a swimming pool WOD?

Oh yeah that was me:)

Worked on snatching and rowing today. Worked up to 95lbs on the block and hit 105 from the ground. Then did 3 sets of a 250m row with the amount of time it took for me to row rest in between each round. Got 1 min for 2 sets and 1:02 for the last. Definitely sucked.
For this WOD I wanted to go light to spare myself for the muscle ups. I used 75lbs and went unbroken. For the muscle ups, I wanted to hit 2 each round but couldn't do it the first so I just stuck with one solid attempt each round. My time was 10:45.

Yay Frank I love it! Yes!

What motivates me to drag myself out of bed at 4:30 on tuesdays and wednesdays each week to get to the box? It is the epic fight of light and dark I think is what it is. And when it's a fight gone bad, I am glad for Grace :)if you know what i mean.

In any case, again thrills for me today were Jon's hs at 6 a.m. and then witnessing Chris G's first MU at 6 pm. My score was somewhere in the 15's. 85 lbs, red band ring mu's. and those are the things that motivate me too.

and finally, *6 a.m. scores recorded included the 4 mins rest, so subtract 4.

What motivates me to come in??? The sense of accomplishment when you've finished a WOD and you walk out the door. That feeling of knowing that you are doing something good for your body and mind. Developing great friendships along the way and helping those friends share in that same feeling. We share a passion for something so big but yet obtainable. Thanks to all the coaches for all your hard work and dedication to train us!

As for the WOD last night, I liked this one! Went a little heavier than I originally thought I would but it made me put up a good fight!
