This picture is amazing.
Hahahaha!! LOVE the video!!! I'm going to practice the Stanky Leg!!!!!
I have no dancing skills but with enough booze I probably look like that
Warm-up: 45 pull-ups (25, 10, 10). 195# 5RM deadlift. My form needs work. I think my body frame is not distributed "properly" - meaning that while I can do lots of pull-ups, my legs are pretty weak. So, in deadlifting, when the weight was heavy, I tend to pull more for the back rather than putting more of the load on my thighs.
195# is a PR for me though.
For the WOD: 135#. Time: 7:56.
Interesting physics problem:
Person A - Deadlifts 135# 20 reps in 1:00.
Person B - Deadlifts 185# 20 reps in 1:30.
Obviously, Person B did more work than person A, but which person exerted more average power.
Remember: W = F*d. P = F*d/t.
Assuming that both people are the same height and they lift the barbell 2 feet off the ground.
Person A:
135 lb * 2 ft = 270 ft*lb per rep.
20 reps --> 5400 ft*lb
1:00 --> 5400 ft*lb / 60 s = 90 ft*lb / s.
Person B:
185 lb * 2 ft = 370 ft*lb per rep.
20 reps --> 7400 ft*lb
1:30 --> 7400 ft*lb / 90 s = 82.2 ft*lb / s.
Person A's average power is higher.
If Person B does 20 reps at 185 lb in 1:20, then her average power is 92.5 ft*lb / s.
Interesting physics problem Dan! Was that based on any real life events?!

- The jump from 155 to 185 was not the best idea but was hung up on lifting something heavier than me :)
Great 9am WOD and overall happy to see the weights continue to climb

First time ever in a wod that I didn't hate the row. Focused on form and sat next to Missy (who has great form) and kept pace with her which also helped. Didn't feel tired til around 700-ish meters which is saying a lot. Coming from a girl who typically almost hurls after stepping off a rower. ;-)

Nina, I have no idea whether you took 90 seconds or 80 seconds to do your deadlifts and I'm also not exactly sure how long I took to do mine, so I can't say which of us exerted more average power. But obviously you did more work.
