Bar Wars Info
Friday @ 6:30 pm
Weight Classes: Male: 165 and under, 166-195, 196 and above
Women: 130 and under, 131-150, 151 and above.
Each athlete will receive 3 lifts at Snatch and Clean & Jerk. Athletes will declare a starting weight, once you declare a starting weight, you will not be able to drop in weight. If the athlete misses their first lift, he/she will have two more attempts at that weight or may move up in weight, but can not remove weight from the bar.
For a lift to be successful you must receive 2 thumbs up, one from each judge.
What the judge will be looking for in the snatch: The bar stays in one continuous motion from the ground to over head. The athlete may power or squat snatch, but will not receive credit for pressing the bar to achieve lockout.
Clean & Jerk: the bar must travel in one continuos motion from the ground to shoulders, the athlete may power or sqt clean to get bar from ground to shoulders. Once the bar is in the front rack position, the athlete may, strict press, push press, push jerk, split jerk or squat jerk the bar to a locked out overhead position. The bar may not pause at any point from the shoulder to an overhead locked out position.
The winner of each weight division will be determined by their total for their heaviest Snatch and Clean & Jerk.

Team Rob/Frank - 13:29 C&J 130#/45# lunge plate/14# WB
I agree with previous posts. This was a really fun WOD!! We were rocking and rolling until the push ups killed me. I really need to start a daily push up program again. Loved the Warm up this morning too. Different stuff to challenge us. One of the great things about CrossFit. You never know what you will be doing and "constantly vareid".
